Governance The school is governed by the Board of Trustees. It is the policy-making body of the school. It approves the curriculum, rules and discipline, scholarship grants and others. The Board of Trustees is composed of the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) as Chairman, Secretary of the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports (DECS) as Vice Chairman, and as members; President of the University of the Philippines (UP), Chairman of the UNESCO National Commission of the Philippines, Director of the Science Education Institute (SEI), and the Directors of the PSHS and PSHS-MC. The Local School Board is the implementing and recommending body. The Chairman of the Board is appointed by the Chairman of the PSHS Board of Trustees, Regional Director of DECS, Regional Director of DOST-XI, Directory of PSHS-MC, PSHS-MC PTA President as ex-officio member and two representatives from the Private Sector. The Chairman and the last two members shall serve for a tenure of two years each.
